Fantastic Faith

From our church news letter yesterday:

 Giving an insight into having Faith.......

Jesus walking on water and Peter having faith to follow:

 and then doubt set in........

 

In the middle of a dark winter's night in a small farming community,

 The 2- story home of a young family caught on fire.

Quickly , the family followed their well practiced emergency plan, and they made their way through the smoke- filled home to the front yard.

 There the father counted headsand realised that their 5 year old was missing.

Suddenly he heard a wail and looked to see the boy at his bedroom window, crying and rubbing his eyes. 

Knowing the danger of re-entering the burning building to rescue his son,

the father called" Jump, son! I'll catch you!"

Between sobs, the boy responded to the familiar voice: "But i can't see you Daddy!"

 The fathered answered with great assurance:"No, son! You can't see me,but I can see you! JUMP!"

At that the boy jumped into the inky smoky darkness and found himself cradled in his father's loving arms- safe!

 Keep Faith!

Have Faith. Be Trusting. Know that God is with us!

God's presence is for his people. 

Our need is to trust HIM!

 

 

 

 

Starting out anew

Treasures In The Garden

What can we do.......

As we start a new year

untouched and unmarred,

Unblemished and flawless,

 unscratched and unscarred,

May we try to do better 

 and accomplish much more

And be kinder and wiser

than in the year just gone before-

Let us wipe our slates clean

and start all over again,

For this privilege has been given to all sincere (wo)men

who will humbly

admit they have failed in some ways

But are willing to try to improve these "new days"

By asking God's in all that they do

 And counting on God to refresh and renew

Their courage and faith when things go wrong

 And the way seems scarey and dark

  and the road rough and long-

What can we do 

when the year is so new?

The choice is ours

 - "GOD LEAVES THAT TO YOU!"

Wistful Wishing

I wish for:

Comfort on days that are difficult,

Smiles when sadness intrudes,

Rainbows to follow clouds,

  Laughter to soothe yearning lips, 

Sunsets to warm aching hearts, 

Gentle hugs for sagging spirits,

 Friendship to brighten each day,

Beauty for longing eyes to observe,

 Confidence for when in doubt,

Faith to help flagging belief,

Courage to know our true selves,

Patience for acceptance of truth,

And LOVE to make life complete.

You see God's face......

Every time you look up
into the sky
or watch the fluffy clouds
drift by,
 or feel the sunshine warm and bright,
or watch the dark night turn to light,
or hear a bluebird gaily sing,
or see the winter turn to spring,
 or stop to pick a daffodil,
or gather violets on a hill......
or touch a leaf or see a tree,
It's all "God"
 whispering" This is  me......
And I am "FAITH" and I am "LIGHT"
And in "ME" there is "NO NIGHT."
