Revealing All

superhealthylivingjourney.com

Reflective Revelation

What you are

is revealed by what you do.....

What you do

reveals what you truly believe.

If you cherish every moment

all the beauty of each day,

if you treasure simple pleasures

little joys life brings your way,

If you inspire love and friendship

because you're warm and dear....

You're a special kind of person

who grows nicer with each year.

Take time to smell the roses. It's well worth finding out what the things are we miss out on if we don't take the time to look.

I WILL live with JOY in my heart.

A beautiful Soul

superhealthylivingjourney.com

Treasures In The Garden

Reflect on inspiring affirmations which can unlock your creativity ,encourage mindfulness and soothe anxiety.

We are more than how we look.

We are more than the things we own.

Our souls are beautiful.

We all have a part to play in this beautiful and exciting world.

We all have a part to play in this beautiful and exciting world.

Beauty is only skin deep. It's what's in our soul that makes us who we are.

My word for today "MORE!"

I WILL live in JOY!

Refreshingly Refreshing

superhealthylivingjourney.com

Take Time....... to LOVE!

I found this poem in"Splashes of Joy in the the cesspool of life" by Barbara Johnson. It's is an oldie which I have read many times and it still manages to bring a tear to my eyes.

The Old Violin

'Twas battered and scarred, and the auctioneer

Thought it scarcely worth his while

To waste much time on the old violin,

But held it up with a smile.

"What am I bidden, good folks ?" he cried,

Who'll start the bidding for me?

A dollar, a dollar-now two, only two -

Two dollars, and who'll make it three?

Three dollars once, three dollars twice,

Going for three" - but no!

From the room far back a grey - haired man

Came forward and picked up the bow;

Then wiping the dust from the old violin,

And tightening up all the strings,

He played a melody pure and sweet,

As sweet as an angel sings.

The music ceased, and the auctioneer,

With a voice that was quiet and low,

Said," what am I bid for the old violin?"

And he held up the bow,

"A thousand dollars- who'll make it two?

Two thousand - and who'll make it three?

Three thousand once and three thousand twice -

And going and gone, " said he.

The people cheered and some of them cried,

"We do not understand -

What changed its worth ?" The man replied:

"The touch of a master's hand.

And many a man with a life out of tune,

And battered and torn with sin,

Is auctioned cheap to a thoughtless crowd,

 Much like the old violin.......

But the Master comes, and the foolish crowd

Never can quite understand

The worth of a soul and the change that's wrought

By the touch of the Master's hand.
Myra Brooks Welch 5

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

And no matter how battered and old, the "Master" is not finished yet.

All About LOVE and Nature

Nurturing Nature

My attempt at poetry.... if the words don't rhyme it's not poetry for me.

Nature Love

I love fluffy clouds
As they float on by.
 I love the azure blue
Of the day lit sky.

My love is for wildflowers,
Beauty of my dreams,
My love is for the musical babble
Of fast moving streams.

I so love the birdsong
In mornings so cool.
I so love the coldness
Of a deep mountain pool.

Scudding cloud beauty,
Wildflower spread,
Running water babble,
Brings peace to my head.
                   Carol Young 2015

Stopping to smell the flowers sometimes makes one focus on other beautiful things around and about.

Loving Life and Laughter

A loving Legend

Legends say that the hummingbirds float free.
They carry our hopes for love, joy, and celebration.
The hummingbird's delicate grace reminds us that
life is rich, beauty is everywhere, and every
personal connection has meaning,
and that laughter is life's sweetest creation.

We need to find beauty in all things we see

.... most of all in nature and people we meet.

We need to share the beauty in ourselves

in every connection we make with others.

Life is definitely rich and it's ours for the taking.

Treasures In The Garden

Life is an adventure, an experience......

The adventure of life
is to learn.
The purpose of life
is to grow.
 The nature of life
is to change.
The challenge of life
is to overcome.
The essence of life
 is to care.
The opportunity of life
is to serve.
The secret of life
is to dare.
The spice of life
is to befriend.
The beauty of life
is to give.

Making life more than existence

Treasures In The Garden

Looking at how many ways.......

Life is an opportunity
benefit from it.
Life is beauty,
admire it.
Life is a dream,
 realize it.
Life is a challenge,
meet it.
Life is duty,
complete it.
Life is a game,
 play it.
Life is a promise,
 fulfill it.
Life is a sorrow,
overcome it.
Life is a song,
sing it.

Accumulating Wealth

Treasures In The Garden

Accumulating material things.......

Focus in on non-material values
and their amazing benefits.

Enjoy the beauty of a sunset/ sunrise.
Forget watching television.

Look after our health
 -take a walk
-play with children.

Recognize that consumerism
does not improve our own well being,
or that of our nation

.......has camouflaged the riches

we have within ourselves, in our country and in nature.

Wistful Wishing

I wish for:

Comfort on days that are difficult,
Smiles when sadness intrudes,
Rainbows to follow clouds,
  Laughter to soothe yearning lips,
Sunsets to warm aching hearts
Gentle hugs for sagging spirits,
 Friendship to brighten each day,
Beauty for longing eyes to observe,
 Confidence for when in doubt,
Faith to help flagging belief,
Courage to know our true selves,
Patience for acceptance of truth,
And LOVE to make life complete.

Beauty In the Eye of the Beholder

1 Peter 3:3

It is not fancy hair, gold jewellery, or fine
clothes that should make you beautiful.
" No, your beauty should come from
within you - the beauty of a gentle and
quiet spirit. This beauty will never disappear
and is worth MUCH MORE to GOD.

Nothing can buy inner beauty. It is there naturally.

Think of the time and money we have to expend to achieve outer beauty.

Random acts of gratitude

Treasures In The Garden

Want to release the lock to the secret of happiness.......

When did you last pause to contemplate
how really wonderful your life is right now?
It's pretty easy to take our everyday lives for granted.

The busyness of our lives doesn't leave
much time for reflection.
We are much better at focusing in on what we don't have
instead of appreciating all the good things we have
and all the things that go right in our lives:
 :
Count your blessings- there are more of them than you think

Think positive-shift from negative to positive in every
 situation you encounter

Have an attitude of gratitude- practice thankfulness
 until it becomes second nature.

Enjoy the moments
See the beauty in all that surrounds you
Enjoy the miracles in all the small things that you do.
Be optimistic.
Live life to the fullest.
Be open-hearted and willing to look at the world with fresh eyes.
                                                             Better Homes and Gardens

Well, you already hold the keys.......

just turn the key, the door will open, let your journey begin.

The journey is the Gift

Treasures In The Garden

From Singapore

Journey's End...

I once set sail
for a distant horizon
and I found myself adrift
in a vast blue sea.
  I kept my vision primed
on what lay ahead of me.
No matter what I had,
I knew there must be
something more,
way off in the distance
on a faraway shore.
I didn't see the beauty
of the stars on high.
I was oblivious of the rainbows
after the clouds passed by.
It took me such a while
to finally comprehend,
that the gift was the journey--
not what I would find at the end.

Wow! What a gift.

I was looking too far ahead!

Looking past our faults

Treasures In The Garden

Find Beauty and goodness.....

We need to water and fertilise the goodness within ourselves,
just as we would water and fetilise the plants in our garden.
We sometimes neglect to nurture the good inside us,
and eventually that goodness could die.
We need to realise the potential we have inside us.

One of the greatest gifts bestowed on us is
the ability to reach past our faults and find
that we have been gifted with beauty and goodness.
                                         Morning Story with Dilbert

The goodness is God living in our soul
and the beauty is ourselves responding.

So let us look after ourselves and release our potential!

Looking Within

Treasures In The Garden

It's the inside that counts

No matter what the outside of a person looks like,
it's the inside that really matters.
Inside each person is a  living, breathing, feeling human being,
who is deserving of kindness, and compassion and acceptance.
Let us open up our hearts.
Look at what is really important for that person and inside that person.

Look past faults.
Find the beauty and goodness within.

To Know when You Have Succeded

Treasures In The Garden

How will you know you have succeed in life?

To laugh often and much;
to be respected by your peers;
when you have received the affection of children;
when you earn and are appreciated by honest critics;
when you can endure betrayal by false friends;
when you can appreciate the beauty that surrounds you;
when are able to find good in other people;
when you can leave the world a better place than when you entered it,
whether it be by a healthy child
a garden patch,,
a changed social condition;
to know that even one life has been made easier
because you have lived and trod upon this earth.

This is to have succeeded in life.
