A Grownups Christmas Wish List

Wishful Thinking

Dear Santa,

This year I don't want any material gifts delivered under my tree. I have so many wonderful things in my life- most of all good health and happiness. Could you please send me the things that I am requesting below  .......

I would like :

 No more lives torn apart,

That wars would NEVER begin....

.... and the wars raging now would cease.

And that time would heal all hearts.

Everyone would have a caring friend,

And RIGHT would always win.

And LOVE would never end.
Shut Up I'm Still Talking ( via our nephew Philip)

Thank you Santa in anticipation of a "HOPE FILLED" Christmas for myself and

everybody else on earth.

Your Friend

 Cassie

What we want for our children is reaching fruition.......

We want them
to take the path
next to us,
and go further
than we could have
 ever dreamt
possible!

.......They have done everything we prayed/ hoped for and more!

The Unseen Gifts

                          Peaceful Presents

The gifts I'd leave beneath your tree
Aren't those that you could touch or see.
Not wrapped in Christmas paper gay
But.... gifts to bless you everyday.
The gift of friendship warm and true
Is one that I would leave for you.

Good health and happiness and cheer,
To keep you smiling all the year.
The gift of peace that comes from God,
With prayers to guide each path you trod.
And when your heart has lost it's song
The gift of hope to cheer you on.

Happy Christmas
 Happy 2015.

From
My family to Yours.

Love and Hope

Treasures In The Garden

If there was a way I could help one person

cope with  life's difficulties.......

I would love to
inspire
people.
It would like someone to
look at me and say,
"because of you
I didn't give up."

.......so they don't have to feel alone.

I would have achieved something wonderful !

My word for today is "HOPE!"

Watching the waves

Treasures In The Garden

Dropping that kind word.....

Drop a pebble in the water- just a splash and it is gone.
But there's half a hundred ripples circling on and on and on.
They are spreading, spreading and the ripples rise and fall.
While the music of the swelling brings a thought for one and all.
As you watch the waves of water as they widen round and round.
Think how simple was their starting, just a pebble from the ground.

Drop an unkind word , or careless, in a second it is gone.
And there's half a hundred ripples circling on and on and on.
They are spreading, ever spreading from the centre as they go,
And there's not a way to stop them once you've started them to flow.
And perhaps in some sad heart a mighty wave of tears you've stirred
And disturbed a life once happy when you've dropped that unkind word.

Drop a word of cheer and kindness- in a moment it is gone,
But there's half a hundred ripples circling on and on and on.
Bearing songs and hope and gladness on each buoyant, joyous wave,
Till you'd not believe the volume from the little thought you gave;
And you've rolled a wave of comfort whose sweet music may be heard,
Circling miles and miles around you- just dropping that kind word.

How much value there is in giving so little.

Small Miracles

Treasures In The Garden

Worth watching out for....

Did you ever pray for a miracle?
Do you hope for a sign on high?
Is there anyone listening up there at all,
or are there only just clouds in the sky?

There's no pillar of fire to follow;
no walking on water to see.
So if God really looks down from heaven
what signs do you think there should be?

Well......

God is that smile from a stranger.
when things are desperately bad.
Or the friend who just happened to be there
when you found yourself feeling sad.

God's that phone call from someone
who you thought had forgotten your name;
the hope that you find when it's hopeless,
and you thought you were out of the game.

Then again God might be the wind,
that snatches off somebody's hat.
Hand it back, next thing you're talking,
and married in ten minutes flat.

God's the hand of your Mother
when you nearly got hit by a car.
Or the words of advice from your Dad
that can help you to go all thet far.

God is that teasing kid in class,
that made you who you are today.
Or the smile of you favourite teacher,
that put you well on life's way.

God's the job you took out of boredom,
that turned out to be perfectly right;
and the police person who pulled you over,
when you might have been dead that night.

No, God doesn't do sea partings.
and you won't find God raising the dead.
But.... look close enough and you'll see that God's power
comes in small miracles instead.

The miracles happen and we are not aware........
they take place around us every day..... keep looking out!

Visualisation as partof life

What will greet you when you visit, beside
the front entrance to our home.

             From My Garden

I Keep my thoughts centred on
what I wish to experience in my life.

I have the rest of my life left to live fully and enjoy.

There is 100% of my life left to live.

Welcome!
I am centering my positive thoughts on a new car that can pull our caravan, appearing in my life.
Wouldn't that be so wonderful ? How this can happen I can visualise and hope and....pray!
I know miracles have happened to others like this before.... why not me!

One of my friends is hoping to sell her house. She has an affirmation written up and sitting on a table facing her front door to the effect. I have not yet written my affirmation out yet, but I am getting closer. Here's HOPING...... and PRAYING!

I hope that that positive things are happening for you in your life, that you are busy and happy and full of joy.C.

Forgive and forget

King parrots feasting at the hanging feed tray amongst
the bottlebrush and grasses

      From My Garden

I'm finding that for relationships to be happy I need to be a good forgiver and and a good forgetter.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.
I have 100% of the rest of my life to live.

I am responsible for my own happiness. I must not rely on others to be responsible for making me happy. In order to get that result I have to look within myself and pull out what resources I have there that are going to achieve that outcome.

So I have let go of my past and moved on to the present. Right here and now is where I am happy. I am happy in this moment . I am alive. I am well. I am happy. I am warm. My tummy is full. I have a nice home and garden. I am in a place of peace. I don't look too far into the future because I have no idea what is there. So this moment and the next is all I have.

So now that I am participating in the game of life, I am appreciating every special moment - and I am happy and  at peace.

Today I wish you happiness and peace throughout this beautiful sunshiny day. C.

Finding God

Tiny birdseye chillies always make a
lovely display. I use so few of them and
 the bush is always full.

              From My Garden

Each time that I give love sincerely and
unselfishly, I give God, because.... God is love.

This is the first day of the rest of my life.
I still have 100% of the rest of my life to live.

I see God in the love I have for my family.
I see the goodness and kindness in people as the
God part of humankind.
But most of all I find God in the pure innocence of a small child, and the trust and love
 they have in their parents.
It would be so good to be able to be childlike and trusting in love as little children are,
instead of growing up to be so mistrusting of everybody and everything.

If I am going to participate in the game of life, I will need to appreciate each precious moment that I have here on earth..... join me. C..

Rewards in everyday living

Some mystical creatures who grace my indoor garden.
A cute gift from my daughter-in-law

       From My Garden

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.
I have 100% of the rest of my life to live.

Some smart employers share both profits and credit with their employees.. This is not always because it is deserved, but because the employer knows it is a way to greater success for a business and for the benefit of encouraging the employee to participate and enjoy the fruits of that success.

I love my job.
The benefits from working where I work is not only the monetary reward, but the reward of being part of a very successful enterprise. I hear that everywhere I go, when I tell people where I am employed. I am told constantly " that place has a very good reputation". That's so great to be part of something  like that and to know I make a small contribution to it's success in my own unique way.

The other rewards that I reap are:
that I am much older than all the people who are employed at my place of work, and I am truly grateful that at my age I can still make a contribution to a thriving business;.

my children and grandchildren are a long way away so I am lucky that I work with younger people who are around my children's ages and give me stimulating company as I work;

and of course the nature of my work is with children, so while I don't have my grandchildren in my daily life I can share the joy and excitement and company  of small children as they journey through their lives unaware of the contribution they make to my life;

and the fact that I have other things to contribute to conversation at home other that my garden, housework, my pets, the weather.

So it makes life more exciting to go to a job that rewards me in more ways than with money.
I like the money too. It allows me to travel and get to see my family at least once a year.
So once again the mundane can be exciting if I look at the positives within the eveyday environment of where I live, how I live, why I do what I do, and how I make that all work.

I wish you the joy in finding excitement in the mundane of your everyday life. I know you will find it there if you just look. C.

Being happy is......

In my succulent patch again

        From My Garden

Being happy is not owning things.
                    It is having inner peace,
                           a spiritual glow,
                    a reaching out to others,
                            love of self,
appreciation of the good things in life,
                         having dreams.

Making the right choice

Another view of the newly mulched mulberry tree garden.

      From My Garden

I get a choice in life.
I can look on the bright side or the dark side of my experiences. I choose to to look at the light.
"Let there be light".
"Look on the bright side".
