Healthy Living With Nature

More of the good stuff

In 2013 we went to Singapore to holiday with Christian and Bek. That was where the next phase of our HEALTHY LIVING began. We learned to make our own DAIRY FREE MILK, GREEN SMOOTHIE, and CHIA MOUSSE.

Making Chia Mousse:

Utensils:
! teaspoon, 1dessertspoon, 1 tablespoon
! 1/4 cup measure, 1 sifter or sieve
! glass or ceramic jug, 1 plastic coated hand whisk

The ingredients:
Raw Cacao powder
natural / organic vanilla essence
Natural/ organic honey
Organic Chia seeds
2 1/2 cups almond? cashew/ oat/ rice/ coconut milk
( these can be bought at the organic shop or health food department
or make your own) recipe in a recent blog

Method:
Place 21/2 cups of milk into your jug
Sift 1 dessertspoon of raw cacao powder into your jug( Whisk)
Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla (Whisk)
Add 1 tablespoon honey and whisk again
Add1/3 cup chia seeds whisk again. Then whisk 3or 4 times at
intervals so mixture won't glug. Then cover and refrigerate- ready
for use. Give another mix when about to serve up.

Kids find this yummy for breakfast or as a dessert. Sometimes
I add prunes, but any kind of fruit would be nutritious and delicious .

(It's a great way to get GOOD food into children's tummies without a lot
 of fuss.)

And along with this we teamed a green smoothie.

Making a green Smoothie

Utensils  A BLENDER that is about 600 watts. Below that still works , but they break down after continual use. We have a Kenwood. My sisters have Ultra Bullet and my chiropractor uses a Ninja), some LONG GLASSES, fresh mint to serve

( Our Recipe)

A handful of ice

Natural yoghurt
crushed almonds,
maca powder
camu powder,
fresh Kale( chopped)
cup of water
Place altogether in your BLENDER and whizz it up. YUM!

Lots of recipes in "30 days smoothie challenge" (see link on "In The Kitchen" page.http://youngshope.productsthatfascinate.com ) More recipes in PINTEREST.

We love what the BLENDERS can produce.

Have FUN CREATING!
